Speculation of Nikon Full Frame Mirrorless is Confirmed

Speculation of Nikon new mirrorless full frame is confirmed by Nikon Imaging executive Kimito Uemura during a televised interview aired on Japan's NKH network. If all goes well the mirrorless system lineup will arrive around 1st quarter of 2019.

NikonEye predicts that an entry-level full-frame mirrorless camera will be the first camera in the system to be announced and that the camera will have a 30+ megapixel phase-detection sensor and a new lens mount that allows existing F-mount lenses to auto focus using an adapter. While these system are early into development, it's good camera giants like Canon and Nikon are joining the mirrorless system bandwagon with the fierce leads taken by Sony and Fuji.

If the existing huge lineup of F-mount lenses can be used though with an adapter, Nikon can give a competitive edge.
