Photography 101 Workshop Season 3 concludes on a high note

ShutterXpose concluded its season 3 of Digital Photography 101 workshop on a high note. The workshop was held at the recently upgraded MAS Boardroom at the IBIS Hotel with the state of art audio/video system on Friday 29th April 2016. The workshop was sponsored by Tamron Lens and Naser Mohamed Al-Sayer Communications Communication, the official dealer of Tamron, Canon, Steiner and Vanguard products in the State of Kuwait.

Mr. Salman Al-Basha, the Product Manager representing our sponsor introduced the participants about the company and Tamron lenses in particular. Tamron lenses have won many awards among the prestigious EISA awards. Tamron Kuwait offers 5 years International Warranty on all it’s lenses at a very competitive price. Tamron produces Di and Di II lens for both full frame and crop sensor camera bodies and are available for most of the popular camera mounts. The participants were dynamic personalities representing multiple nations working in different background yet with a common passion to pursue Photography as their hobby. The workshop also witnessed few students who wished to continue their hobby along with their professional career in the future. Photo Session at Al Hamra Tower

GPH_6455 ShutterXpose Photography and Tamron Kuwait in collaboration conducted a Photography session at the Al Hamra Luxury Mall & Roof Top for Weekenders club members on 15th April, 2016. The event was well supported by Tamron and Naser Mohamed Al-Sayer. It was also a good chance for couple of members to try the new release Tamron SP 15-30MM F/2.8 Di VC USD, a full frame, fast f/2.8 aperture wide angle lens which offer image stabilization (Tamron’s Vibration Compensation “VC”)

ShutterXpose has been providing their members time and again opportunities to exhibit their passion, the group had the best of time capturing a bird eye view at one of the tallest building in Kuwait. The photo session was a memorable for all and a learning curve for some of the new members to capture aerial cityscape view.

Adobe Lightroom 101 Workshop Unleashed

Lightroom workshop ShutterXpose is organising it’s 2^nd edition of Adobe Lightroom 101 Unleashed workshop on 12^th June 2015 (10:30 – 17:00) at Avanti Palace Restaurant, Hawally.

Adobe Lightroom is an excellent image-editing program that is streamlined for the beginner, intermediate and professional photographer. Lightroom can offer fantastic editing capabilities with easy-to-use interfaces. It is ideal for large batches of photographs from travel, weddings, or the single image.

Lightroom is a powerful, yet easy to use alternative to the more complex Photoshop programs. The new version of Lightroom CC is more powerful and versatile with it’s introduction of built in HDR and Panorama to merge images.

This workshop will introduce participants to how to use Lightroom, editing RAW files and JPEG, and answer all questions regarding it’s use. From image organising to slideshow output to HDR and panorama, this workshop will cover everything you need to know to get started with Lightroom.

ShutterXpose Digital Photography 101 Workshop: An Inspirational Success

GPH_4856 ShutterXpose organised it’s Season 2 of Photography workshop for upcoming photographers titled ”Digital Photography 101”. The workshop was held at Avanti Palace, Salmiya on 10th April 2015.

Aimed at the Novice and Amateur group of photographers in Kuwait, the 5 hours long session covered various topics from the Basics of photography, Fundamental Pillars of Photography, Lenses and peep thru on Post Processing. Topics on Fundamental of Photography, Depth of Field were explained through with live demo and slides.

ShutterXpose Team leaders Dr. Yogee Tumkur, Dr. Vinod Kumar and Mr. Sanath Ramesh guided participants on various aspects/tools available in their cameras during the workshop.

ShutterXpose has been one of the pioneer photography groups in Kuwait with the aim and vision to nurture novice and amateur photographer to become Better Photographers. The group also conducts weekend photo-shoots exploring the scenic beauty of Kuwait.

The workshop was well attended and received good feedback. Keep checking for future workshop.

Digital Photography 101 Workshop – Season II

ShutterXpose is yet again conducting their 2nd Season of Digital Photography 101 Workshop on Friday 10th April, 2015. Digital Photography 101 is a must workshop for Novice, Beginners and Amateurs photographers. This workshop shall help you to understand the basics of camera operation, related camera jargon’s in simple and easy to understand language, learn exposure and how to balance exposure setting for capturing amazing and stunning images. Photography is not about taking images, it’s all about creating and making good images.

This 4.5 hours course shall help you to be a confident photographer:

•Dealing with tricky lighting situations,
•Exposure bracketing and shooting in low light
•Creative shooting, capturing and freezing motion, and panning
•Composition beyond the rule of thirds
•Demystifying the histogram
•Introduction to On-Camera Flash
•Introduction to Post Processing

The content of the course is based on the features and knowledge required for Digital SLR (DSLR) cameras, it is not suitable for the digital ‘point & shoot’ cameras, however you are most welcome to attend if you are interested and are ready to invest in the future.

My Style – Lee Llamas Workshop delights photographers to new height

Lee Llamas is one of the most successful and popular wedding photographer in the Philippines. In spite of his popularity, Lee Llamas is quite a modest and sincere person, an ardent listener a serious humorist. To his “Golden Boy” reputation Lee Llamas created wonders at his 1^st Kuwait Leg- My Style Wedding Photography workshop, which was held at the Safir Hotel- Fintas on the 15^th & 16^th June 2012.

Day 1 started with the formal introduction of Lee Lamas, his photography works, his approach and workflow while shooting models and his style of creating magic with dynamic dimension when it comes to wedding photography. The day continued with photo shoots covering every aspect of wedding photography including the E Session, Lighting details and Outdoor shoots. Lee Llamas took personal attention in composing couple of bridal shoots, attendees were given first-hand information on such composition and advised to be creative. He also took personal interests to observe each attendees (photographers) shot and end up either advising or complimenting the photo. To give a real feel of the wedding, 2 expensive bridal gowns were arranged along with 4 couple models (2 couples for Pre-Nuptial ceremony & 2 couples for Wedding ceremony), make-up as well as floral artist. The models were pampered with glory by the photographers who were trying to capture them with their best camera, available lens, light and creative angles.

Lee Llamas Photography Workshop,Kuwait-2012

Lee Llamas is a Professional Photographer based in Philippines. He is considered to be a Guru in Fashion photography, his creativity and elegance style of working with a disarmingly boyish good looks earned him the “Golden boy” of wedding photography within the wedding industry. Lee Llamas was chosen as the official photographer for Supermodels of the World Philippine franchise from 2001 to 2002. He also made models portfolio shots for Cal Carries International Modeling agency and helped launch careers of stellar fashion models both local and international.

Lee Llamas would be in Kuwait and will be conducting “A Wedding Photography Roadtrip Workshop – Kuwait Leg”, on the 15th & 16th of June at the Safir Hotel, Fintas. There are slots for only 40 participants at a premium cost of KD 40 each (includes 2 days workshop, coffee breaks and lunch) There will be models for the “E” Session, Wedding Gown, and Wedding couples.
