Formula One Show Run on the Streets of Kuwait

F1_Kuwait Infiniti Red Bull Racing F1 car will perform in long urban track on the streets of Kuwait. For the 1st time Infiniti Red Bull Racing Formula One Show Run Team visits Kuwait on Friday March 28th . The Quadruple Constructors’ Championship winning machine will be driven by Red Bull Junior Driver Carlos Sainz Jr. who will perform a full repertoire of donuts, burnouts and speed stretches in front of an expected 25,000 racing fans that will line the streets next to the Kuwait Towers.

Fans will welcome the Infiniti Red Bull Racing World Champion Car on an 800-meter long urban track stretching from Bneid El Gar signal light to the Kuwait Towers. The car which accelerates from 0-100km/h in 2.4 seconds will reach speeds of 250km/h and above.

In addition to the Infiniti Red Bull Racing Formula One Show Run, Kuwait will get a glimpse of Chris Pfeiffer, a four-time World Stunt Riding Champion and one of the best stunt riders in the world who will be pushing the limits with his new tricks.

This event is sponsored by Infiniti, Pirelli and is held with the cooperation of KMRC.

GulfRun 24Hr Karting Concludes

GPH_3501 The third Wataniya GulfRun 24 hour Karting Endurance race which I had posted earlier concluded successful much to the delights of the team.The Gulf Cables Team were the first to cross the checkered line after an exhausting 26 hours followed by Team Scuderia in the second place and Team Agsher in the third place.

The race which saw 18 teams consisting of 188 drivers took part in practice sessions and a highly competitive 24 hour endurance race. The 18 teams comprise of 4 to 12 drivers per team who drive a maximum stint time of roughly 2 hours, after which they switch drivers, and keep going for 24 hours of non- stop racing.

Kuwait Rally Championship 2012

Kuwait Motor Racing Club (K.M.R.C) is organizing the 4th Round of Kuwait Rally Championship 2012 on Saturday 24th March in Julaia’a, behind Bnaider Mosque. This should be a great opportunity for photographers to capture yet another sporting action after the recently held Kuwait International Motocross Challenge 2012. Visit to Kuwait International Motocross Challenge 2012

My first ever visit to an International Motocross Bike Race was with mixed emotion of happiness and pride. Sure you judged the reason for my happiness, but the pride was for a simple reason of having an Indian rider “Jinan Chellikkattil Dasan” representing my country at an International Level and the final icing with a win in the 4th place. Jinan who represented the Liberty Kawasaki team from UAE, hails from Thrissur in Kerala. A total of 22 countries featuring 45 contestants participated in this tournament including teams from US, France, Qatar, Bahrain, UAE, Kuwait, South Africa, Switzerland and Belgium.

The day as forecasted turned dusty with strong winds by noon, with my commitment back to office I packed my camera gears, only after witnessing few spectacular moments of passion, speed, control and power. The event was well organized and witnessed by more of photographers from Media, Groups, as well as Individuals and Blogger’s, but lacked the general spectators. The reason could be the unpredictable weather…. (as usual over the weekends).

Overall, I did have a good time and also had the opportunity to meet few fellow photographers.

1st place – Chris Moakley, Switzerland (MX1 Class), Mohammad Jaffar, Kuwait (MX2 Class) and Sulaiman Al-Mislem, Kuwait (ClubMan Class)

Kuwait International Motocross Challenge 2012

The Kuwait International Motocross Challenge 2012 is taking place on Saturday 17th March. This event is organized by Kuwait Quarter Mile Auto & Motorcycle Club and will be held at the recently built racing circuit course in Wafra off the King Fahd Bin Abdul Aziz Motorway. The length of the course track is 1600m with a minimum width of 7m. The event is open to all nationalities and is categorized in different classes. This will be a great opportunity for Photo enthusiastic to shoot fast sporting action.
