About Maasai Mara, Lake Naivasha & Amboseli

Kenya, is undoubtedly one of the best wildlife destinations in the world. It has some of the world’s most famous game reserves and national parks like Maasai Mara, Lake Nakuru, Aberdare, Tsavo, Samburu and Amboseli.

Maasai Mara is ravishingly beautiful and also offers long, undisturbed views and utterly dramatic panoramas. The weather really means something here. The sun may beat down unforgivingly, huge clouds in fabulous shapes may sweep across the widest of skies, and the wind ripples the grasses as though they are stroked by a giant hand. The landscape is stunning. The famously black-maned Mara lions are possibly the stars of the Mara show with Cheetah, Elephant, Kongoni, Topi, Thompson's gazelle, Hyena roams freely the vast landscape.

Lake Naivasha is a freshwater lake in Kenya, outside the town of Naivasha in Nakuru County, which lies north west of Nairobi. It is part of the Great Rift Valley. The name derives from the local Maasai name Nai'posha, meaning "rough water" because of the sudden storms which can arise. Lake Naivasha is famous for its high populations of hippos. The lake is a birder's paradise as it is home to over 400 bird species both resident and migratory birds.

Amboseli National Park is in southern Kenya. It’s known for its large elephant herds and views of immense Mount Kilimanjaro, across the border in Tanzania. Crowned by Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa's highest peak, the Amboseli National Parks is one of Kenya's most popular parks. The name "Amboseli" comes from a Maasai word meaning "salty dust", and it is one of the best places in Africa to view large herds of elephants up close.
