1st Annual Photowalk, Kuwait-2012

The 1st Annual Photowalk event will be taking place on Friday 4th May, 2012. This debutant event will begin from the Kuwait Scientific Center to the Kuwait Towers (both popular landmarks in kuwait) in which over 50 amateur and professional photographers are expected to participate. Photography lovers from all skill levels are invited to take part in this walk which will also include classes and demonstrations by experts.

Photowalks are quite common in most part of the world. I sincerely hope this new initiative here gears momentum and be an annual events over the years to come.

Schedule:

Kuwait Scientific Center: 5:00 am till 6:00 am

Hard Rock Cafe: 6:00 am – 7:00 am (walk 1.8 Km) Shoot photos of of Motorcycle Club.

7:00 am – 9:00 am – Short Seminars and going over Photography Basics and Composition. Hard Rock Cafe, Beach Area

9:00 am – 9:30 am – Drive to Green Island Parking area to regroup. There is a small entrance fee to the Green Island park area.

9:30 am – 12:00 noon – Walk and shoot on Green Island, Their will be Models in Casual Dress, Importance of Composition will be in forced in that only one Photographer at a time will take a photo in his area, they will have to discuss the shot and compose it so that the shot is of their creation.

12:00 – 2:00 pm – Lunch at place of your choice and cost.

2:00 pm – 5:00 pm – Walk from Green Island to the Kuwait Towers. Slow walking pace, Please mix with the various Photographers and share as much knowledge as possible during the walk, discuss all shots to be taken and go over camera settings / composition / Rule of Thirds / White Balance / Exposure settings.

5:00 pm – Capture sunset at Kuwait Towers.

This is an open shoot but please be polite and respectful to others around you. Gain as much knowledge and networking as possible. You may come at anytime to join in the event along the way.
