Formula One Show Run on the Streets of Kuwait

Infiniti Red Bull Racing F1 car will perform in long urban track on the streets of Kuwait. For the 1st time Infiniti Red Bull Racing Formula One Show Run Team visits Kuwait on Friday March 28th . The Quadruple Constructors’ Championship winning machine will be driven by Red Bull Junior Driver Carlos Sainz Jr. who will perform a full repertoire of donuts, burnouts and speed stretches in front of an expected 25,000 racing fans that will line the streets next to the Kuwait Towers.

Fans will welcome the Infiniti Red Bull Racing World Champion Car on an 800-meter long urban track stretching from Bneid El Gar signal light to the Kuwait Towers. The car which accelerates from 0-100km/h in 2.4 seconds will reach speeds of 250km/h and above.

In addition to the Infiniti Red Bull Racing Formula One Show Run, Kuwait will get a glimpse of Chris Pfeiffer, a four-time World Stunt Riding Champion and one of the best stunt riders in the world who will be pushing the limits with his new tricks.

This event is sponsored by Infiniti, Pirelli and is held with the cooperation of KMRC.

GulfRun 24Hr Karting Concludes

The third Wataniya GulfRun 24 hour Karting Endurance race which I had posted earlier concluded successful much to the delights of the team.The Gulf Cables Team were the first to cross the checkered line after an exhausting 26 hours followed by Team Scuderia in the second place and Team Agsher in the third place.

The race which saw 18 teams consisting of 188 drivers took part in practice sessions and a highly competitive 24 hour endurance race. The 18 teams comprise of 4 to 12 drivers per team who drive a maximum stint time of roughly 2 hours, after which they switch drivers, and keep going for 24 hours of non- stop racing.

The event took place at the at the recently opened SIRBB Circuit. The track looked quite pleasing, the watching gallery were occupied by families, friends, VIP’s and media personnel’s.

Red Bull Car Park Drift – 2013

The Red Bull Car Park Drift is back following the tremendous success of the past three years, you shall be entertained to the one-of-a-kind drifting spectacle and exhilarating performances. Come out and see who will be crowned the Kuwaiti King of Drift in one of the most amazing motor sport spectacles that the region has ever seen.

The competition which is taking place at Parking Lot 4 of the Kuwait International Fair is sponsored by Chevrolet and Bridgestone and in collaboration with the “Quarter Mile” club in Kuwait. It returns once again to provide motor sport lovers in addition to the thrilling show performances, a chance to experience high speed and utmost suspense.

This would be a great opportunity for photographer to capture high speed action. The last I attended was in 2011

Red Bull Car Park Drift – 2011

Kuwait hosts the local qualification for this event on April 22 and the winner will have the chance to compete in the final round taking place in Lebanon on Friday, July 22nd 2011.
This event is open for the public and Motorsport fans are invited to watch the Red Bull Car Park Drift event from the grandstands located at both sides of the track. Hope the weather stays good and dustfree. You can check on their website for more info.
