The 24-120mm (f/4) is much better with better optics, nano coating, quick autofocus and definitely more reach than the 24-85mm. There seems to be vignetting and distortion at the extreme ends, but it can be corrected during Post Processing. I would recommend this lens.

Both Lightroom & Photoshop. They give you more flexibility, make sure you shoot in RAW to take advantage though.
